Pudong quality-control experts visit SIMC for 2026 medical quality inspection

On the morning of 28 August 2026, a Pudong New Area medical quality-control expert team visited Shanghai International Medical Center (SIMC) for the 2026 annual quality-control inspection—aimed at reinforcing safety baselines and deepening care quality. The review spanned medical administration, outpatient operations, medical records, nursing, infection control, and pharmacy management, assessing service quality, fine-grained management, documentation standards, and end-to-end patient-safety capability. President Fei Ke, Medical Affairs Director Diao Shu, Nursing Director Si Yibing, department leads, and core hospital QC members accompanied the visit; line managers joined inspections and feedback so reporting and on-site dialogue stayed efficient. At the kickoff, President Fei welcomed the experts and stressed that quality is the hospital’s enduring lifeline—QC inspection is not a pass/fail exam but professional help to iterate management from “qualified” toward excellence. Since opening, SIMC has kept safety and quality at the top of priorities, aligned with Shanghai and Pudong standards, and steadily strengthened its three-tier QC system; over the past year it closed the loop on prior findings and built practical fine-management experience. Director Diao then briefed recent operations, progress closing 2025 QC findings, and 2026 priorities for the quality-and-safety system. Teams inspected by specialty: reviewing ledgers, sampling active and archived charts, and interviewing frontline clinicians and managers across governance, safety risk control, record quality, standardized nursing and humanistic care, infection control and emergency response, pharmacy safety and appropriateness, and outpatient process performance. After more than two hours, feedback affirmed SIMC’s QC strengths while naming gaps and actionable fixes. Leadership accepted the recommendations in full and committed to itemized, time-bound remediation—strengthening the QC system, holding the safety line, and delivering safer, higher-quality, more efficient care.
