Can 61-Country Visa-Free Entry Be Used to Seek Care in Hainan?
NIA’s 20 August 2026 page: nationals of 61 countries holding ordinary passports may enter Hainan visa-free for short-term purposes including medical treatment (就医), stay ≤30 days, activity limited to Hainan. Work and study are excluded. Visa-free entry is not nationwide travel and not a hospital admission.

Who Approves Lecheng Special-Access Imports—and Where Can They Be Used?
State Council Guo Fa〔2018〕10: Hainan provincial government approves import of clinically urgent devices with no same-type mainland registration, for designated institutions only.
