Public reports from Boao Lecheng briefing promotes “blood purification”: filtering LDL, inflammatory mediators and other factors through special membranes. The marketing is strong (“must do once in a lifetime,” “no side effects”). Treat the points below as source claims. Confirm indication, contraindications, and whether the actual procedure is dialysis, filtration, perfusion, or exchange—in writing. Not medical advice.

Not the same as dialysis (as stated)

The post says blood purification includes dialysis, hemofiltration, hemoperfusion, plasma exchange, and immunoadsorption. Dialysis is framed as electrolyte/small-molecule clearance, kidney replacement, 4–5 hours; their “purification” as selective removal of pathogens, 2–3 hours, listing hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular disease, viscosity, skin and rheumatic disease, immune dysregulation.

Claimed features

Short cycle: 1–2 hours to remove inflammatory factors, drug residues, LDL, triglycerides, free radicals, and heavy metals. No added drugs; BP, temperature, flow, and hemodynamics can be monitored. Targeted membranes for metals and environmental toxins. “20+ years / tens of thousands of cases” is promotional—verify modality and evidence with the hospital.

Fresenius equipment (special access)

The article says a Lecheng hospital imported German Fresenius purification equipment certified as franchised kit in the pilot zone. Fresenius dates to 1912 as a dialysis-device supplier. Confirm model, on-site availability, and price.

Effects, who might be offered it, how they judge results

Claimed effects: waste metabolites, chronic inflammatory factors, heavy metals, lipids/viscosity, free radicals, sub-health symptoms. Listed groups include high lipids/uric acid, psoriasis/SLE/RA, CAD and carotid plaque, stroke/viscosity, fatty liver and cancer-risk, organophosphate poisoning—and “not for everyone.”

Results: pre/post labs (LDL, TG, TC; total removal 30%–70% in the post); 300–500 mL lipid-like filtrate; symptoms; metals. It claims 1–2 hours can circulate ~4–5 L. Confirm contraindications, the exact procedure name, and a written estimate before travel.

The Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, approved by the State Council in February 2013, pilots franchised medical care and health management—aiming for “three synchronizations” of technology, equipment, and drugs with international standards.
