One of the oldest hepatology departments among traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in China

The department originated from the internal medicine hepatology group established in 1957 and was officially renamed the Department of Infectious Diseases in 2008. As one of the earliest hepatology departments established in traditional Chinese medicine hospitals in China, it integrates the academic expertise of renowned veteran traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, such as Guan Youbo and Wang Hongshi, while maintaining an equal emphasis on both traditional Chinese and Western medicine. The department has extensive experience in applying specialized traditional Chinese medicine therapies to diagnose and treat viral hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, liver cancer, fatty liver disease, and various infectious diseases.
