Bronchiectasis: Airway Basal Stem-Cell Therapy

Published by Lexaid, the brand of Shanghai Qile Wuyou Technology Co., Ltd. (其乐无忧). Company & brand

This briefing explains what the technology is meant to do, who might be discussed for it, and what it does not replace. It is not medical advice and does not promise tumor shrinkage, functional recovery, or a cure. Eligibility, the receiving hospital, and the bill must be confirmed in writing by that hospital. Do not stop standard treatment unless the specialist agrees.

Bronchiectasis: once the wall is destroyed, mucus and bacteria are hard to clear

Repeated infection destroys bronchial walls and the tubes stay permanently widened. When cilia and the basal cells that repair them are exhausted, mucus stays in and infection feeds more injury. People cough for years, raise purulent sputum, and become short of breath. Antibiotics, mucolytics, and postural drainage treat flares. They do not restore a normal caliber.

Mucosa is sampled by bronchoscopy, expanded, and instilled back onto injured lining

As on the COPD page, these are autologous basal cells without gene editing, instilled locally through a bronchoscope. The aim is engraftment on broken mucosa, cilia that beat again, and fewer exacerbations. The source is explicit: permanently dilated tubes are not restored to a fully normal shape. Ruijin Hospital Hainan is named in the Lecheng setting. Acceptance is that hospital’s written decision.

Sampling or return during uncontrolled infection is not appropriate
  1. Imaging defines the extent of bronchiectasis and the organisms involved;
  2. An acute infection is treated first under a pulmonology plan;
  3. Airway clearance, nebulizers, and antibiotics when needed all continue;
  4. Sampling, expansion, and local return are discussed only after stability;
  5. Exacerbations, sputum volume, and activity are the follow-up. Cure is not promised.
Repairing the mucosa does not erase an already dilated lumen
