Ankylosing Spondylitis: Umbilical-Cord MSC Therapy
Published by Lexaid, the brand of Shanghai Qile Wuyou Technology Co., Ltd. (其乐无忧). Company & brand
This briefing explains what the technology is meant to do, who might be discussed for it, and what it does not replace. It is not medical advice and does not promise tumor shrinkage, functional recovery, or a cure. Eligibility, the receiving hospital, and the bill must be confirmed in writing by that hospital. Do not stop standard treatment unless the specialist agrees.

Ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic spinal arthritis centered on sacroiliac and entheseal inflammation. It can progress to spinal fusion and kyphosis, with uveitis or bowel inflammation. NSAIDs, conventional antirheumatic drugs, and TNF-alpha or IL-17 inhibitors control inflammation for many people. Some still respond poorly.

Umbilical-cord Wharton’s-jelly stromal cells in the briefing come from a healthy newborn cord, are low in immunogenicity, and do not need a strict tissue match. The stated mechanism is restraint of Th1 and Th17, lower TNF, IL-6, and IL-17, more regulatory T cells, and paracrine protection of cartilage and entheses. The point is modulation, not clearance of a cell lineage the way CAR-T works. Formed bony bridges are not reversed.

- Rheumatology confirms the diagnosis and the response to current biologics;
- ESR, CRP, sacroiliac MRI, spinal mobility, and liver and kidney tests are checked;
- Active infection and uncontrolled cancer are exclusions;
- The source describes intravenous infusion, sometimes plus an injection into a joint, in divided doses;
- BASDAI, BASFI, inflammatory markers, and imaging are followed. Do not stop a biologic on your own.
